website for a steve on the go

We’ve gotten a number of questions about what an average day is like for us (especially Steve’s day).  It’s hard to answer, because it varies a lot, but here’s a basic schedule (not as precise as listed).

5:15 am     Lia gets up and get ready
6:45 am    Lia drops Joel into bed after his feeding, and leaves for work
Steve is on duty: from now until 8 am, he splits time between the
administrative side of his job and playing with Joel.
8:00 am    Joel takes a nap, and Steve gets to work undisturbed  ☺
9:30 am    Steve feeds Joel, who’s up until 11 am, with Steve splitting time
11 am        Joel takes Nap 2, and Steve meets with his boss to plan the week
12:15 am    Lia comes home, and Steve leaves to meet a student for lunch
Lia is on duty, but she’ll also work one hour from home while Joel naps.
2:30 pm    Steve meets someone at a coffee shop to train them in
    international student ministry
4:00 pm    Steve works on preparing for the Friday investigative Bible study,
and works on communication with volunteers

We also have our Friday evening groups, occasional Monday night volunteer meetings, and a special weekend activity once a month, just to keep us on our toes.  ☺

That’s an overview of our schedule, and what we’re doing.  Regrettably, I don’t have a photo of me meeting with a student or volunteer: I always forget to take photos when I’m busy.
Steve, working hard from the home office.

An average day in ministry
